Queue Tips

Access further information on how to read or understand the queue.

  1. First come, first served: The queue represents the order in which quotes were accepted.  No-one gets to jump to the front
  2. Existing bookings: When you join the queue, there may already be 1 or even 2 weeks work booked.  The customer in spot #1 may still have a 1-2 week wait before their work is underway.
  3. Job size: Customers’ jobs vary from 1 to 5 days, even with a 5-person team on site.
  4. Weather holds, over-runs, and staff availability can all have an impact on how fast the queue clears.
  5. Manual updates: The queue is updated manually once per day. 
  6. What does my score mean: Nothing! It’s simply the order in which you’ve accepted the quote since we started and ensures you are placed in the queue at the right point
 
The online, visible, queue was implemented to give customers improved visibility of their progress during the wait between accepting a quote and receiving a job booking notice.  While far from a perfect real-time update, it’s the best idea we’ve come up with to keep customers informed.  Should you have a different, better idea, please feel free to share with our office and we’ll be happy to implement it.
